Day two of racing at the 2007 Hamilton Island Farr 40 Australian Championship and there has been a change of leader. With all but one of the Pineapple Cup Montego Bay Race entrants having posted finish times, the 811-mile distance race from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Montego Bay, Jamaica, has officially concluded for 2007.
Bob Towse’s Reichel/Pugh 66′ Blue Yankee (Stamford, Conn) won the seven-boat IRC Class A, while Michael Brennan’s Reichel/Pugh 45′ Sjambok (Annapolis, Md) won the seven-boat IRC Class B and took home the Silver Seahorse Trophy as top performing IRC boat in the fleet. Frank Kern’s J/120 Carinthia (Detroit, Mich), which won the seven-boat PHRF class, also had the best overall performance for PHRF to win the Silver Pineapple Cup Perpetual. (more…)

A VERY MAD DRUNK INSAINE BAST%RD who caught a 1.3 meter shark with his bare hands off an Australian beach has said he only tried the feat because he was drunk on VODKA, Amazingly, all he suffered was a slight scratch.

BMW ORACLE GO ONE BIG STEP AHEAD OFF THE WATER, they have made their first video blog at the desk of TOM EHAMM advertising the January issue of the Yacht Capital Magazine, called “THE CUP” this is a very major break through and could pave the way to some great onboard action, day in the life type video insight into Americas Cup Sailing. Just a great wee video clip of a super yacht that most of us will never get to see sailing, Aye okay you got to have more DOUGH than a very large bakery supplying the world with bread? But what are the running costs per minute? Can you invite me to sail on it some time because that looks TOTAL LUXURY and I’ll bring ma own slippers.
OKAY so it looks like a BIG CARRY OUT BOX from the local take away, but is it the shape of things to come? Further research into the subject (which was extensive) leads me to think YES it maybe. A glance at my local Chinese take away menu gave me a taste into the design and thought process behind this design, Number 95 on the menu is COMBINATION SATAY, this gave me the biggest clue! But first I had to taste it, it was a stunning combination of beef, prawn, chicken, red and green peppers, with a solid base of fried rice, topped off with a stunning paint job of satay sauce.
