What a great weekend that was? thats what everyone says, its the polite thing to do, so thats done. Satuarday saw some brillant wind strenghts for a change ranging from 22-28 knts but got up to 39 kts after a few beers in the pub, along with many speed records getting broken in various classes. The courses where a little disapointing, not because they where Triangles but because you could’nt get a kite set even in a bow sprit boat (see the gallery for proof) however I dont know why it was’nt changed for the second race? Anyway good fun was had by all. The onshore stuff was well sorted I think (well they did’nt run out of beer did they? and there was some nice tits about for something to look at while you drank yer beer.
Short version here, forgot name of B&B but had a key and spend the night checking yale locks for size all the way along the road so sorry about the scratches round yer doors, that was until Colin Yaldi boy fell in some road works, so we just went home, well to a empty stripped out boat with no sleping bags, so that was good I think.
Sundays race report:
We started with lots of boats round us and slowly, oh better change that to quickly, they all got much smaller and vanished, then we got humped on handicap, but it was great anyway. Local Hero won overall for the weekend. other classes also had almost equally well sailed boats and all credit has got to go to Graham Galbraith sailing a Flying Fifteen Funky Chicken to great effect after his week long intense sailing lesson during the Nationals where he harmmered to death the Sonata’’s and bigger yachts.
Also Mr Cameron Still had almost a near perfect score line which just goes to show he was’nt listerning to everything he was told by his crack crew? Thats my account of the weekend but get the grown up version here (more…)
