“Swell conditions for penultimate day in ACCBank Cork Week”

Of the 26 divisions competing at ACCBank Cork Week, almost all are un-decided going into Friday’s grand finale of the series.  The popularly acclaimed Slalom Course with its intense reaching legs is certain to test the finely balanced Super Zero class as Niklas Zennstrom’s Ran and Dan Meyers’ Numbers are vying for first place with just a point between the pair.

Pure Mad Ned does it at Cork Week Invitational (Rory who?)

July 18, 2008

It was so nice to see that one of our feature sailors from last season  ‘Rock star Rory McWhirr’ (the mouthy one in the video above, which is hard say given the company he’s in) is doing the business in Cork this year. Anyway, Rory was asked to sail at the 2008 Cork Week Invatational event which was sailed in J80’s with some Olympic campaigners and there was more than one team along with a pack of full time Rock Stars, Oh and some very serious Star Campaigners who might have been going to the Olympics. Anyway you guessed it, Rory from Scotland, ‘Humped them all with ease’ he said and is now spending his time writing to Skandia and Volvo for his current Flying Fifteen season. Well done Rory, you are Brilliant after all.
