flying fifteen worlds 2009

Its not the first time we have seen it, a local Holy Loch Sailing Club Boy taking on the world at sailing and giving them a reet good seeing too! Not only did Maf Smith & Andy McKee(of some wee inland puddle sailing club in Englandshire) horse the entire fleet at the pre-worlds/Australian Nationals, they went on to take the Classic Flying Fifteen World Title in “Feel Flows”, Mafs beautiful Windebank. They gave the rest of the ff’s such a beating that their boat had to be inspected to check it was actually a classic!
Anyway, Congratulations to Maf & Andy as 2009 Classic Flying Fifteen World Champions.

Maf Smith of Holy Loch Sailing Club is currently in Melbourne with his Windebank Classic Flying Fifteen. They are gearing up for the 2009 Flying Fifteen World Championships by dominating the Australian nationals in the classic division and getting very respectable results in the open fleet. Maf and his helm Andy McKee (from some yacht club in Englandshire) are currently lying 31st out of a fleet of 106. The “Feel Flows” boys have been posting some impressive results including a 20th and 16th… keep it up!
