Hi Heather,

For several years until 1999 I was the voice who called out all the winners for the Heineken Regatta. Each year we on the Race boat committee enjoyed a new “raceboat” experience from a tugboat to a huge barge (complete with tires up the side, the only way to cimb aboard, and tag along dolphins) to finally a sleek trimaran, very memorable! I still have the different raceboat committee t-shirts for each year I participated and a 1999 Henekin Regatta poster.

It is so gratifying to see the Heineken Regatta continue to grow and flourish! It will remain one of my fondest memories of my 7 years in St Maarten..
